my current job sitch.

i usually enjoy what i do--nutritional counseling for patients who are at-risk of developing cardiovascular disease (what a mouthful!)--but lately i've realized that there are no moves to make in this company (that aren't lateral) and the pay ain't that hot.

thus, in the last couple of weeks, i have applied for a number of other gigs.

today i get a call from THE FUCKIN' CITY OF NEW YORK. hurrah! i love government gigs. you can't beat the benefits and the vacation time and there are so many jobs to be had that bouncing from one to another is actually encouraged.

this particular position is in research and i have an interview in two weeks.

we'll see.
