to sell one's soul.
when is this okay? is the idea of "not selling out" something that i'm clinging onto from adolescence?
had an interview with the city today and i was basically told that the position was "quite junior" and i seemed "overqualified." i doubt i could squeeze much money out of 'em, either. my salary requirements have grown quite a bit since moving to the city.
i'm thinking of just forgetting all about my good intentions towards helping people and what not and just getting some hot secretarial gig down in the financial district. i could make enough money to actually (gasp!) take a cab every now and again, pay a decent amount toward my student loans, and pay down my credit cards. (not to mention someday actually buying a home or something equally grown-up.)
will i wake up hating myself every morning?
