the sun makes me shine.

i realize that i am, oh, about three years behind the times on this one, but i loved seeing the polyphonic spree. bubbles and crescendos and colorful robes!

(do you imagine that tim gets to sleep with all the pretty girls in the choir in true cult-leader fashion?)

the show, while sparsely attended (because, fuck! scarnsworth wasn't there!), it was a lot of fun. beck was pretty incredible; at one point he's singing with his acoustic guitar while his backing band eats dinner on stage and then they suddenly use their half-full water glasses and cutlery to provide a backing percussion.

belle & sebastian didn't play "your cover's blown" but did play "stars of track and field" and "judy and the dream of horses" so i'll forgive 'em.

the train ride home was exhausting. the n was running on the local track and so it took us over an hour to get home, i believe.

all in all, a fantastic weekend. hopefully scarny will tell his place of employment to fuck itself and he'll move up here.

(twago, scarny! twago!)

Belle & Seabastian are a new discovery for me. I know you used to mention them way back in the day, but I wasn't as open to new music then as I am now.

The above comment shouldn't say anonymous, it should say Andrea.

I can't figure out the comment section on blogger... how lame.
