also, in non-hipster related news: on the train this morning, i looked up at a subway placard explaining how to go about retreiving one's lost property. there were graphics to accompany the information. along with the usual assortment of mittens, ipods, purses and the like that an individual might leave on a subway, there were also pictures of (get this) a wooden leg and a cobra.

does the above deserve to be mocked? probably.
it's some la dude who takes pictures of people and puts them on the internet. he's been rewarded with a 1 page spread in the la flagpole each week. and i think 'party' promoters fly him into their cities to take pictures of their events to post on his site. i think there's also some sort of connection to vice.
what's a hipster? someone under 35 who likes to go to bars at night?
