make it to the border of mexico...
will be having a drink or two with ms. dykes and mr. scarborough this saturday. scarny will join me. it'll be my first trip to happy ending and i'm looking forward to it.
sixteen days until i leave for new orleans.
brunch club meeting #2: this weekend!
just purchased a ticket to atlanta for june.
my brother and i baked beer bread last night, watched the "top chef" reunion, and got shit-faced on bad wine. beer bread has got to be the most dangerously easy thing to make EVER. here is the recipe, my gentle reader(s):
3 c. flour (i use 1/2 whole wheat pastry flour and 1/2 unbleached white flour, but do as you wish)also, kate moss and my bro were attempting to convince me last night to put together some sort of portfolio of my pictures, which i find laughable. my brother is dj'ing at a bar next week and would like me to hang some of my stuff. hiLARious. (i'm curious, though, gentle reader(s), if you had to choose one picture you like, what would it be? if you think they are all shit, i don't blame you.)
1/3 c. sugar (i use organic brown sugar, but do as you wish)
1 T. baking powder
1 1/2 t. salt
1 12 oz. bottle o' beer (i've used newcastle and dos equis, but do as you wish)
other stuff... nuts, oats, dried fruit, if you wish (i've used dried cranberries and dried bing cherries)
mix it up. pour in loaf pan. put in cold oven. turn to 375. bake for 60 minutes.
(about 15 minutes before finished, i brush top with a bit of soy margarine, but this is optional.)
especially good hot out of the oven, drizzled with honey. OMG, SO GOOD.
email me.
update: thank you to all who voted, but sadly, polls are closed until i start shooting in high-res. see? totally not a real photographer. at all.
