in the last minute
Lots of QT with Scarny in the last 24 hours: wine at Bao Noodles, rum drinks at Boxcar and vodka and peanuts at Mama's, brunch at Essex... and then, well, we were planning on seeing this movie at the Village 7 on 3rd Avenue, but passed this bar and what do you know? It's the Georgia alum bar! We just had to stop by and have a beer (or two or three or four) and I finally got to meet A.C. and a number of other new friends.
Wow, did Georgia make it happen in the last minute or what? Incredible. High fives all around. Hugs with strangers. Cheering galore.
After that? What to do but pub crawl? Hit up the (fabled) oldest bar in New York where the beer was free-flowing and food came in the form of Saltines and the spiciest mustard ever to touch this tongue.
Ahem, Scarny... from the website:
Everyone from Abe Lincoln to John Lennon have passed thru Mcsorley's swinging doors.Everyone went their separate ways after splitting the check, but I got to catch up with the ex for 45 minutes via phone and now find myself at home, watching Entertainment Tonight, and contemplating a move to Brooklyn.
Oh, and I have a date on Wednesday with a med student.

GO DAWGS!!!
Indeed!
Amazing game doesn't begin to describe it. You should have seen the bar when Cox threw that last TD. Serious high fives everywhere!
And, yeah, both Scarns and AC seem like pretty cool dudes -- I'm a lucky lady on football Saturdays from here on out!
psmee and i and some other folks watched that game at the DC area alum bar - SO MUCH FUN. of course the place went nuts with that last TD, and as soon as the game was over one guy led us in a bunch of georgia cheers. it was amazing.
