the waiting is the hardest part

A snippet from the most recent email from the Iowa decision-maker:

We will let you know our decision as soon as we can.
Meanwhile, I'm battling anxiety-induced insomnia just waiting for an answer. It struck me a few days ago that this job hunt feels a lot like my college search; it's the first time since 1994 that I've left it up to someone else to determine where I'd be moving. Usually, I pick a location first and find a job second.

It's nerve-wracking, I tell you!

Nerve-wracking.

Min, as much as I want to go back to ATL, I can't do it without a job waiting for me. I've applied to 60+ jobs all over the country but nothing from ATL ever came to fruition, unfortunately. My future residence is, right now, a mystery.

I'll keep you posted, though!
