vote vote vote
Went to the polls this morning at 7:45 -- refreshingly, didn't have to wait at all. 'Twas a far cry from '04 when I stood around for what seemed like (and possibly was) hours to cast my ballot.
Only voted for three individuals today: Hillary for Senate, Eliot for Governor, and Andrew for Attorney General.
I'm particularly watching the senatorial races in Missouri, Tennessee, New Jersey, Montana, and Virginia.
Oh, and check out neocon and Pentagon advisor Ken Adelman's back-pedalling. You may recall that, in 2002, he famously stated in the Washington Post that "liberating Iraq" would be a "cakewalk":
I just presumed that what I considered to be the most competent national security team since Truman was indeed going to be competent. They turned out to be among the most incompetent teams in the postwar era. Not only did each of them, individually, have enormous flaws, but together they were deadly, dysfunctional.

i voted this morning too, with very little wait-time - so exciting! not only did i get to vote in one of the hotly-contested senate races, i also had a gay marriage consitutional ammendment to vote on. i love election day! photo of election day cookies on my flickr soon!
Can't wait to see the cookies, Emma!
(As is apparent, I have totally dropped the ball on my food blog. I haven't taken a picture of an edible substance in I-don't-know-how-long. My mind has been consumed with job hunting instead!)
that is COMPLETELY understandable, though every time i see those brownies i can think of nothing else for HOURS or until i eat whatever's handy to distract myself :)
Everytime I see those brownies, Emma, I gain 5 pounds.
