downtown chic, fun, hip

I'm torn.

My 30th (and Scarny's 28th) is quickly approaching and all I want is to have a memorable dinner with my friends and family. I'm going to choose the restaurant and Scarny will choose how the rest of the evening plays out. (Scarny, should we hit up Bungalow 8? Bed? Duvet? Sway? Milk & Honey? Lotus? Employees Only?)

I made tentative reservations here, but am starting to think that it's not special enough. Have tossed around Buddakan, primarily, but also Kittichai in my head this evening.

(With one eye on the game, of course.)

Where should I go? Some of you will be there (and of course, if I know you, you're invited), so weigh in.

Kittichai?

Buddakan?

Somewhere else?

Aren't those bars all featured in episodes of Sex and the City?

I think Bed was! Or Duvet. One of 'em.

Looks like it's gonna be Caribbean food, y'all. Buddakan and Kittichai both insist on prix fixe menus for parties greater than 10. We're talking $50pp prix fixe menus.

Fuck that.
