jumping, jacking

Porkchop's comment has inspired me: instead of jogging to the sound of Terry Gross' voice, I downloaded some songs last night for my morning run.

I'm curious: if you run, walk, stair-climb, elliptical, bicycle, and/or weight-lift, do you have five favorite workout songs that you load onto your iPod (or other similar device)?

Five on my playlist today:

The Go! Team: "Huddle Formation" (yay!)
Kanye West: "Stronger"
Kook & the Gang: "Misled"
The Von Bondies: "C'mon C'mon"
The Knife: "Heartbeats" (for cool-down)

And I'm off!

The Go! Team is not really doing it for me much, except that one song. I haven't listened to the Von Bondies in a long time. You've made me get the CD out for work tomorrow.

A few of my favs are:

Start up: Four Corners- Sea & Cake
The KKK took my baby away- The Ramones
Suffer for Fashion- Of Montreal
Upside-Down- Yo La Tengo
Modern Love- David Bowie
I Believe in a Thing Called Love- The Darkness
Cool down: Sex, Love & Money- Mos Def

i'm actually now feeling inspired to run. is it 9:37 on a sunday night too late for a jog in red hook?

Oh, KM! It was "Suffer for Fashion" that we discussed in the park today, yes? Good pick.
