cost-benefit analysis
Friday I was planning to cook and relax and spend time by myself but, wouldn't you know it? Before I could say I-need-to-detox, I was on a train to the East Village for drinks with Josh, and then to Crif Dogs, and then to B-Side where we were joined by T.Rich & Co. and Scarny and a room full of toilet paper and ended at a diner eating omelets and disco fries.
The following morning was spent watching episodes of "Undeclared" with Josh and eating leftover disco fries. Gross.
Cooked Saturday afternoon (five dishes: black bean chili dip, smashed white bean dip with truffle oil, berry oat squares, curried cranberry couscous salad, almond-stuffed figs wrapped in vegan bacon). Entertained. (Guests included Porkchop and Colleen and Karen with delicious black bean cakes, KM with a spinach phyllo dish, T.Rich & Co. with olives, hummus, cheese, crackers, Scarny with wine, Tom with spiked cider, Josh with lasagna...) Got shut down by roommate at 11pm. Stressed. Headed to Commonwealth with the crew. Attended after-party. Slept on a pull-out couch with three (!) others.
Woke up to breakfast of bacon and eggs.
Watched the game on Sunday with Josh and ordered Indian food and talked and realized that I NEED TO SLOW DOWN. This ain't college anymore, kids.

T.Rich is hoping you'll learn her how to knit. That will be a fanastic non-drinking oriented activity, yes?
