Another top list of 2007.Does anyone else agree with my assessment of "Juno"?
I liked "Juno".
I liked it, too -- I think, however, that the writing just felt like a first script. I mean, wow -- so many snappy comebacks. I stand by what Paul mentioned on his blog: Diablo Cody really did seem to "Dawson's Creek"-ify the dialogue.
but the bad dialogue almost completely goes away after awhile. the script kind of matures and changes as it grows, which is probably the point. i don't think a lot of first-time writers can do that.
Well, you're the movie guy, so I won't argue with you!:)
what a cop out. that's like me saying you're the health care girl so i can't debate health care issues with you. isn't that annoying?
Okay, so, I didn't really feel that the script matured and changed as time went on. Juno spoke in that snappy language throughout. It seemed to me that Diablo Cody wanted to write "how the kids speak" and it was a touch eyeroll-inducing.Overall, a cute movie, but the dialogue got to me.Oh, and Michael Cera was underutilized.
