spicy sweet succulent
made some cinnamon-oatmeal-orange-cranberry cookies last night, and made 'em vegan just because. my coworker (THE coworker, of times past) asked me if eating them magically made him a vegan and, of course, i told him he better know where to pick up some birkenstocks in nyc, hippie.
he then told me that he "passed gas and it smelled like... love."
work is odd.
quite excited about my trip to atl/ath at the end of the month. so excited, in fact, that i bought a kelly green cotton eyelet strapless sundress at h&m yesterday just because. i probably won't even bring the damn thing, but it felt like georgia to me and so i just had to have it.
oh, and i treated myself to some vietnamese cuisine with a trip to bao noodles last night (scarny! bao noodles!) and had some rice vermicelli with spring rolls, cucumbers, bean sprouts, cilantro and sweet soy sauce. washed it down with a glass of pinot grigio and read the article on muzak in this week's "new yorker".
what else is important to me at this time?
running three miles three times per week, visiting my mom, roasting vegetables, smiling more, laughing more, being more pleasant au generale, walking two miles to and from work every day, watching movies in bed, listening to kcrw's "good food" on my ipod, reading "the year of magical thinking" by joan didion.
spring has sprung, despite the snow.

the book made me tear up within the first few pages -- but i'm in love with it.
