last night, i was surprised by a comment made by ruth reichl.

it was a great night. one of the best parts was the swag: i went home with a number of complimentary items, including a copy of gourmet's august issue, their literary supplement, a popsicle mold (complete with sticks and recipe) and an entire honeydew popsicle which i gleefully licked up on the way to the train.
