spicy hot

apparently, i cannot get enough heat in my life.

i'm reading this, had two spicy bloodys at yesterday's brunch, was pouring this on my tofu last night, am marinating some tempeh right now in a green curry concoction, and ate one of these from the dumpling house today -- and now cannot stop thinking about how i need to get my hands on a big jar of kimchi!

(that kimchi sandwich, by the way, was unreal: so delicious, and so ridiculously cheap. highly recommended.)

today's outing was to, among other destinations, the south street seaport, where a.w., kate moss, and i did our best pirate wench impressions. we also picked up some candy and wasabi snacks in chinatown on our way.

yesterday, scarny and i walked all over the city (three or four different neighborhoods, easily -- uptown, downtown, midtown, you name it) and discovered that though the geriatric set loves gerard something fierce, we certainly do not, and thus, skipped the crowds at the paris.

friday night, though it unfortunately included missing the billings' trip into town, was splendid: i was able to finally run into my brother's girlfriend (a student at f.i.t. as well as a bartender), a whole six days before our planned meeting over some mac 'n cheese. she hooked me up (and kate moss, naturally) with some yummy beers at her establishment.

(i have also gone running twice this weekend and god, i always forget how much i need it to stay sane -- and how much i love it.)

now, off to dream of sriracha -- and those beautiful lychees sold on the street near confuscious plaza.
