9:05 -- OMG! Wait, was that Penny? No, right? I'm confused. So, the Others have been living on the island in a sweet, little idyllic neighborhood? With a book club? They are the good guys? But, wait, why is Henry Gale in charge? Why do they need to know who was on the plane? Were they working there for the DHARMA Initiative?

9:09 -- I think Kate should choose Jack. I like them the least.

9:10 -- Oh, Sawyer, I'm missed you. Okay, so the Others are affiliated with DHARMA. Were they scientists? Subjects? Who's that dude in the cage?! Is Sawyer in a Skinner Box? It's just one big Psych 101 experiment?

9:13 -- I want Hurley. When will they show us Hurley? Oh, there's what's-her-name. Juliet. Wait, she looks like Pen, right? Or am I crazy? Where is she from? She's related to someone... I could Google it or go on Lostpedia maybe? I'll do that. Commercial.

9:15 -- Okay, never mind. Not Pen. Not on the show before. I must be reading too many conspiracy fan blogs. She's just a new character.

9:18 -- The name of the man... who is with my wife... TELL US! Oh, it's got to be someone on the island, right?

9:19 -- Are we to think that Jack will fall for Juliet...? And this means Kate will choose Sawyer. Ah, but then Jack will be burned by Juliet and regret missing out on Kate and the whole triangle will reemerge.

9:20 -- Kate gets to wear a dress. I burned the roof of my mouth on a quesadilla earlier and it hurts. Ah, Kate's going to dine with Henry Gale! I think I've seen this on "Temptation Island".

9:23 -- "The next two weeks are going to be very unplesant." La la la... commercial. I'm eating a piece of the couscous cake I made. Couscous, boiling water, dates, cinnamon, pinch of salt, dash of vanilla.

9:27 -- Has anyone watched "Ugly Betty"? I haven't. I will probably watch "The Nine" but I really don't want to get sucked into any other TV shows. Next Wednesday, I'm schlepping to Brooklyn and watching "Lost" with Kate Moss and her roomie. Oh, wait, show's back on.

9:28 -- It's his father who is having an affair with Sarah! Holy shit. That guy sucks.

9:29 -- I don't think we're going to see Hurley.

9:31 -- Jack's totally going to fall for this Juliet chick.

9:34 -- Damn, Juliet is one tough lady. Tasering Sawyer like that. Who is this Karl kid? Where are the answers? I'm more confused and I miss the Hatch. And the camp. Oh, and what about Sayid, Jin, and Sun? The boat? The big Simpson foot?

9:36 -- Commercial. Now there's a bit of skin that is hanging down from the roof of my mouth. Yuck. So, um, anyhow... tomorrow I have an interview at 1:30 for a gig in Iowa. Yes, Iowa. Iowa City. The funny thing is, I really hope I get the job. Other than the snow (loads and loads of snow and cold), Iowa City seems like a really cool place to live. Kind of like Athens, except that I didn't live there at age 17 and nobody would know my business. Commercial for "Grey's Anatomy" -- another show I've never seen and am attempting to avoid. I much prefer being chained to one show and spending the rest of my viewing time watching PBS documentaries on U.S. history and the like. Oh, wait, show's back on.

9:40 -- I wish they would tell us more about that damn neighborhood from the beginning of the show. I feel like they haven't told us anything yet. It's frustrating.

9:41 -- There's a theory that Christian is Claire's father; it would be like Luke & Leia all over again. Sort of. Okay, so Jack is going to join in on an AA meeting? This is getting sort of dramatic. Were the other seasons this dramatic? Go back to the island!

9:45 -- Henry Gale. So creepy. What's behind the door? Oh shit... water. Underwater hatch! They're in the underwater hatch that was connected to that wire that Sayid found, maybe?

9:46 -- I totally want to learn to punch a guy out like that.

9:47 -- Commercial. I wonder if Scarnsworth is watching? Um, what else? I had a second interview with the NIH today, but I'm not sure how well it went. I was a bit intimidated by the five PhDs on the other line, with me on speakerphone. I'll know in a week or two, but it's doubtful. Now, Iowa City... I like the idea. If that doesn't pan out, I have an interview set up for a gig in Minneapolis and another company, this one based in Valley Forge, PA, interested in me. No Atlanta gigs in sight. Sad. Maybe I will watch "The Nine". These commercials are sucking me in. Has anyone seen "Inside Man". It's good.

9:50 -- Ten minutes left. I just realized that this is the first time I am watching "Lost" with commercials and will have to endure a week before seeing the next episode. I prefer DVD! Oh, Sawyer figured out his Skinner Box. He's cute. He gets a fish. And... corn? Oh, Kate and Sawyer are totally going to fall in love...

9:53 -- Whew. That Sawyer.

9:54 -- Sharks with DHARMA logos. Yep, the Underwater Hatch. The Hydra. I wonder if the writers take what is written on the fan blogs into consideration when putting together a storyline?

9:55 -- Whoa. They know everything. Who are they? How'd they get this stuff? She's going to tell him who Sarah was sleeping with. It won't be Christian, will it? It'll be someone on the island. Sawyer? Or, wait, maybe Sarah was with Christian. I'm going back and forth right now.

9:58 -- Okay, so she wasn't with Christian. Who is that dude? Not a guy on the island. She's very happy. This is depressing. A touch melodramatic, but I'm okay with that.
