Autumn is my favorite season for a number of reasons -- one of which is that during these months, I inevitably find a renewed passion for knitting.
Though knitting is certainly one of my favorite hobbies (it's up there with photography and baking), I just rarely find the desire to knit during the summer months.
No knit bikinis for me, thank you.
I tend to favor easy patterns for scarves -- the more mindless the knitting, the more I can keep one eye on the game playing on TV.
So, I happily report that, bright and early this morning, I bought a beautiful skein of Misti Peruvian Pima Cotton/Silk in Natural White and began to knit it up.
Casting on...

And the scarf begins to take on some shape...

Here's the (ridiculously basic and meditative) stitch pattern:
Needle size: 7
Material: One skein Misti Pima Cotton/Silk
Cast on 36 stitches
All rows: * Knit, yarn over, knit two together, repeat from * to end
of row. Repeat to end of skein. Bind off. Weave in all ends.
