makes me feel fine
For those of you not in the NYC area next month, here's what you'll (unfortunately) be missing:
THE SECOND ANNUAL SUMMER BREEZE* POTLUCK.
*Note: May or may not feature Summer Breeze.
If you recall last year, Summer Breeze was the drink concocted by the fellas and mixed in a victory cooler in my bathroom for the First Annual (So Icy/Stuffed) Summer Potluck. It included Coors Light, vodka, Red Bull, and other beverages that escape me at this time. It was (surprisingly!) tasty.
This year, piggy-backing on the fact that the drink of yesteryear was named for a brilliant Seals & Crofts song, I'm declaring the theme to be music-related: your contribution to said potluck should be inspired by a song.
For instance:
"Pour Some Sugar on Me" -- Def Leppard
"Scarborough Fair" -- Simon & Garfunkel
"Savoy Truffle" -- the Beatles
"Mashed Potato Time" -- Dee Dee Sharp
"Know Your Chicken" -- Cibo Matto
You get the idea.
This stomachache-waiting-to-happen goes down on Saturday, June 14th. I've already thought of one or two dishes, myself. We'll see what others come up with.
(And, boy, I've never realized how many songs refer to candy until today.)
